Mack Industries, which began in Valley City Ohio in 1932, has acquired the Bluffton Precast Concrete Company plant in Bluffton, Ohio.
The transaction combines our forces in Northwest Ohio to provide quality, service, and additional resources to extend Mack’s regional presence, including Indiana. Mack CEO and 3rd generation leader Betsy Mack Nespeca says, “We are honored and excited to work with the team at Bluffton and continue the legacy of quality precast built by the Akin family.”
Bluffton Precast Concrete has been in the Akin family for over 55 years. “During this time, we developed a reputation for quality, service and dependability. We wanted a succession plan with a company that had the same shared values as ours and I strongly believe we found that with Mack Industries,” said Michael J Akin, Vice President – Operations, of Bluffton Precast Concrete.
“I believe that Mack will continue to build on the legacy that my father started many years ago, Bluffton Precast Concrete is in the right hands with the acquisition by Mack Industries,” said Akin.
Our combined offering will continue to include manholes, catch basins, big block retaining wall, plus box culvert, wastewater and stormwater systems, highway barriers, pump stations, and more.
The Bluffton Ohio site grows the Mack capability with 8 precast locations in Ohio, Michigan, North Carolina, and Florida. And 4 ready-mix plants in Ohio.
